Favorite Game Endings?

*coughfavoriteanimeendingsthreadspinoffcough*

Now that that's out of the way, what are some of your favorite game endings? Please use spoiler tags for all spoilers! :D

My favorites are Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy VII, and Chrono Trigger.

FF7 and 8 had such great endings...I always love the little mystery-ish thing they leave at the beginning of the credits,
like Aeris showing up for an instant at the near-end of FF7, and Rinoa looking at someone before the camera's battery dies at the end of 8. I always thought that was a really nice touch. :D
As for Chrono Trigger, I just felt that was an ending well-earned ('cause Lavos took me a while to defeat!). XD Still, I've always liked the idea of multiple endings, so that really gives incentive to play the game more.

Anyways, what are some of your favorites? :thumb:

Metal Gear Solid 3
I mean come on it was the only ending to bring tears to my eyes because all of what you were doing killing boss and all was because she was there trying to save snake and trying to help and she got to involved and she let herself be killed. Plus the whole fire the final shot thing was excellent and very very very very ...did i mention very imotional
Also the end of the original halo and <_<.......>_>.....Halo 2
Halo 1: Flying away from the denotanting ring planet at the last second and the tremendous feeling of accomplishment
Halo2: What can I say i like cliff hanger endings it sets you mind working wondering how it will all end and Master Cheif couldn't have sounded any cooler saying " I am gonna finish this fight
There's no ending like MGS3's ending. That's like the best ending in videogame history.

That and the game BAD DUDES.
"The president has been kidnapped by ninjas. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue the president?"

Then at the end, the president is all "Lets go for a hamburger! Ha Ha Ha!'

I cannot believe I used to own this game. Yes I beaten it many times. Yes it is part of my childhood now. Yes I am scarred for life due to this game.

Final Fantasy VII's ending to me left TOO much to the imagination. I would've rather they left it like that than ruin the imagination with Advent Children. It was a decent movie, but it ruined the FF7 universe.

FFVIII, Chrono Cross, and Chrono Trigger had great endings. When I get MSG3 for Christmas, I will discover what you are talking about.
It involves Boss, right?
Klonea's ending made me cry. It was a very emotional ending, very beautiful, even if it was a platformer game. Thinking back, it meant alot to me at 13 that games could be bittersweet. Klonea 2 I've never played...hmmmm

Man, That was a fun game. I need to play it again.
With your doubt, all is comfort
We are all as we appear
No more questions left unanswered
No more wonder, no more fear
Nothing is beauty, nothing's feeling
Blood where there once was a soul
So I ask you, prove yourself
Make me believe that you are whole

golden sun: the lost age's ending was pretty good (as it was one of the very few RPGs that i've beaten). i don't like those mysterious endings that leave you with the feeling that there's gonna be a sequel or it just leaves you with a wierd feeling. i like happy endings. XD

- Abraham Kuyper

"God the great Creator of all things doth uphold, direct, dispose, and govern all creatures, actions, and things, from the greatest even to the least, by His most wise and holy providence, according to His infallible foreknowledge and the free and immutable counsel of His own will, to the praise of the glory of His wisdom, power, justice, goodness, and mercy."
- Westminister Confession of Faith (Chapter 5, Section 1)

- John Piper

"Grace is the pleasure of God to magnify the worth of God by giving sinners the right and power to delight in God without obscuring the glory of God!"
-John Piper

"The very One from Whom we need to be saved, is the One Who has saved us."
- R.C. Sproul

"All of Christian life is ceaseless worship of God the Father, through the mediatorship of God the Son, by the indwelling power of God the Spirit, doing what God commands in Scripture, not doing what God forbids in Scripture, in culturally contextualized ways, for the furtherance of the Gospel, when both gathered for adoration, and scattered for action, in joyous response to God's glorious grace."
- Mark Driscoll

"Believers do not pray with the view of informing God about things unknown to Him, or of exciting Him to do His duty, or of urging Him as though He were reluctant. On the contrary, they pray in order that they may arouse themselves to seek Him, that they may exercise their faith in meditating on His promises, that they may relieve themselves from their anxieties by pouring them into His bosom; in a word, that they may declare that from Him alone they hope and expect, both for themselves and for others, all good things."
- Martin Luther

"I have to tell you first that I am ready to die. I have put my affairs in order. Your supreme weapon is killing. My supreme weapon is dying, because when you kill me, people all over Romania will read my books and believe on the God that I preach - even more than they do now."

MGS3, again... Man, I loved that ending...

MGS, the bad ending... I missed it the first time through, so I didn't know what happened until I did it the second time... I skipped the big poignant scene... When I finally saw it, I cried... Of course, now we know that wasn't the real ending, so... It sorta loses some of its meaning.

Final Fantasy 8... So much better than 7's ending... oh, by far. The camcorder portion of the ending is one of my all time favorite game moments. Actually, I like 8's ending the best out of all the games in the series. 10's ending was decent, with the wink wink nudge nudge say no more... Even if that did lead to that horrible tragedy, FFX-2...

The two proper endings to Chrono Cross were awesome... I love that song, Radical Dreamers... Poor *censored* And dumb CT fans who abandoned CC, it was a viable sequel, even if it
kills off Crono and crew...
I have to say I liked the ending to Metal Gear 2, the whole "Kio Marv" joke was just pure kojima... I mean, he loved screwing with people's heads from the beginning.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.

Yeah it was a nice ending...but...it left me wanting a sequel which I think they could manage to do. Other endings I like:

Metroid Prime
MGS
Tales of Symphonia
CAA's Resident Starcraft Expert

I think my favorite endings are the endings to The Legend Zelda Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Majors's Mask being my favorite of the two.
