Prayer for a job

So I finally got up the nerve to fill out a job application after over a year of being jobless. Yay for not being so lazy! As sad as it is I was so nervous even just filling out an online application. So let's pray I get that job! Though I ended making a few mistakes I wish I could change now, so please pray I'll be allowed to fix them later. I think they are more minor, I hope. For example I put I could work any time on Friday completely forgetting I volunteer at a non-kill cat shelter every Friday night (it's just me and mom taking care of all the cats on Friday nights) so hoping they'll understand my mistake if I get the job and have to explain to them how I can't work on Friday nights after I put I preferred evening/night shifts.

Good luck, I hope you get the job.

Now, please don't take this the wrong way, but why did it take you so long to get around to applying for another job though? They're probably going to ask you about the gap in your employment, and it'll come up with future employers if you don't stay with this one for the rest of your life. If you were doing schooling that prevented you from being able to work a job then that totally makes sense, but if you just simply didn't want to work or if it was something else then that might be a hinderance in the interview since they might think you're not motivated. Again, I'm not trying to bring you down, rain on your parade, or say that you won't get the job, I'm just curious as to what caused the gap in employment since it's a question you'll undoubtedly be asked anyway.

I don't mind you asking at all as I was thinking about this myself. For a good portion of last year I was ill. This year I don't have an excuse. I still have problems, but I'm used to them by now and can work through it. The truth is I have some social issues to the point where I'll get sick when I know I have to meet new people or talk to strangers. I let this hold me back for too long and I realize this was a huge mistake. If I have a harder time finding a job now I know it's my own fault.

I'm like that too...It has gotten better with me being in therapy and all now, but it still comes back every now and then, hitting me hard. I've got job applications out there, but I'm really afraid if I ever get hired.

I really admire you for working towards getting a job and getting over your anxieties. ^^ I know how difficult that can be.
