My Cousin Passed Away Today
PostPosted: Sat Sep 24, 2011 9:42 am
He was battling with cancer throughout his entire body the last couple of years. Had to have regular chemo and was constantly ill. He passed away around 12 noon today (it is now 6:30pm and I only got the message now when I got home from work).
Perhaps the saddest thing of all is, when my parents started to divorce back around 2002 (they finally did in November 2004), there came a split in the family, basically my mom's side and my dad's side. I was kindof caught in the middle. I couldn't really talk to my dad's side of the family, because I felt I couldn't (my mom's side of the family, whom I constantly see and talk to didn't really approve). For years I wanted to contact them. In fact, this week alone, I secretly took my aunt's number from my mom's phone (she's basically the only person from my dad's side of the family that my mom would actually consider communicating with), and wanted to contact her to tell her I was praying for her son. Now, it's too late -_-
At least I friended my OTHER cousin (my dad's OTHER sister's son) on facebook recently, after deciding for TWO YEARS whether I should accept his request on facebook or not.
Anyway, please pray for my aunt. Not only has she lost her son today, but she also lost her husband from a heart attack in 2001, and her other son as well in a motorcycle accident a couple of years back. I can't imagine what she must feel at God at this time, since she's an extremely religious woman who's had not only her husband, but BOTH her children taken from her.
God bless.
