So, 2 weeks after Leon and I got home from training, he had a day of vomiting, followed by dehydration --and a night of me syringing Pedialyte into him. $200+ dollars later, all blood work normal and was just told to keep an eye on him.

And then he was put on an expensive antibiotic for an ear infection. He was fine for the first 2 1/2 weeks he was on it and kept his food down, but starting on Saturday, he began vomiting again. When I'd give his medicine with a handful of kibble, he'd keep it down. If I tried to add rice to it (standard protocol after vomiting/stomach issues is to withhold food for 24 hours, then give plain white rice, then rice mixed with kibble), he'd throw it up an hour later.

He finished his course of antibiotics on Tuesday morning. Which was the last time he vomited. At vet's advice, I began introducing food again tonight (after 24 hours rest from food) --just a small handful then another a couple of hours later. So far, so good --he is keeping it down. Will give another handful in the morning and repeat the process.

Please pray that this will be the end of it. Leon is bright-eyed, happy and is acting and working normally. Using the restroom normally. But the poor guy hasn't had a decent meal in 4 days. :(

So far, so good! Leon has been keeping down the small amounts of kibble I've been giving him. I'm increasing the amount at each feeding slowly --working back up to his normal amount.

I really hope this is the end of him being sick. I hate it when my partner isn't feeling 100%.

Definitely praying for you both! I know it's distressing when your furry friend is uncomfortable and stressed... and being sick is no fun either. :/

He's back to his normal amount of food as of this morning! And no more vomiting since Tuesday. So I think he's all better. :D
