Please pray for my mom, you guys.

A few days ago, someone came to the door with some very bad news about a family friend (and my mom's ex-boyfriend.) He had shot himself (committed suicide.)

My mom is taking it really hard. She and him had started talking again. I don't think he was a believer, but he was a pretty nice man judging from the few times I've seen him in person. It's hard to believe that he is gone.

Mom keeps telling me that she will be okay, but I am worried about her. Tomorrow, she asked me to go find something to do for a few hours after church. His sister is coming over to the house tomorrow. He had written a letter and she's bringing it to read to Mom. I asked Mom if she was sure she would be okay and she said yes --and to just go somewhere else during that time.

Please pray for her. I don't really know what to do to try to comfort her.

I'll be praying! That is very sad Sheenar! *hugs* I'll be praying for you guys. I can relate with not knowing how to comfort your mom. Let's just say that sometimes the best thing you can do for someone is to show and give love to them in any way you can.

The people had come and gone already by the time I got home from church. Mom said she's just trying to keep her mind occupied so she doesn't think about it --said she about went nuts this morning at work b/c no customers or other employees were in the store --and so she scrambled to find something to do so she wouldn't think about Allen.

Thanks for the prayers, guys. I really appreciate it. I'm just trying to show Mom that I'm here if she needs me.
