Sister? Proposal? crap...

My older brother just told me that the rumor of my sister's boyfriend, who no one in my family has ever met, is proposing to my sister and unfortunately, I cannot see my high school drop-out sister that's already had several off and on relationships and so far, this current dude has the most make-up/break-up events, having a lasting relationship with anyone right now. And the fact that I don't know this guy makes me worry an awful lot. I know I'm supposed to trust her judgement but the fact is, she is not mature in any way, shape or form. She claims she is, HA!!! That's a laugh. My brother and I agreed, this isn't going to last and the only way she'll listen to anyone is when she hits rock bottom, and hits it hard. She more stubborn. Hard heart with ears to match. I know I speak of many negatives about her, but she does have her positives. Strong-willed, makes decisions and sticks with it. Unfortunately, if she's not careful, her strength will become her weakness.

Tough situation. She may have to learn this lesson the hard way unfortunately. Praying that God gives her wisdom and guidance in this situation and for your family to have words of wisdom for her too :) xxx

Hey Midknight,
First, let me say I'll be praying for your sister.
Second, please speak kindly to your sister. If you kindly persuade her rather than blatantly argue with her, you might have more success winning her over.

The Lord be with you both!

If I had a sister, I'd sure want her marrying someone I approve of, so I can understand your concern. Praying for her.
