CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Well, for those who have been here for awhile, you'll know that I've shared and asked for prayer through difficult times in the past... Things have been going pretty well for me as a whole lately, which is why I haven't posted anything new on here. I feel kind of guilty admitting that I'm at a hard place again, but... It's the truth.

My college scholarship's been having issues lately (and from no fault of my own)... It's a long and complex story, so I'd rather not dedicate the post to explaining it. But I'm just in financial need for college. :-/ I've already gotten a little over a year and a half done through a special program that a local community college offers to high school juniors and seniors with high GPA's (I got to take classes for free up until graduation), but now that I'm graduated, I'm going to have to find another way to get through this... And if the scholarships don't come, then we're gonna be in major debt.

On top of that, one person I used to go to school with is now dying of cancer. Last night, I heard the doctors doubted she'd make it to morning... I haven't heard anything since, so the anticipation to find out what's going on is really starting to get to me. She's been healed of cancer once before, but I think she let the bitterness of all she went through before her healing get to her... She pretty much turned her back on God... So, the fact that I don't really know how she is spiritually is making it even harder to deal with.

And so... Here I am, in need. :-/ If you guys could send prayers toward my schooling, as well as toward this cancer patient's family, I'd appreciate it a lot.

I'm sorry about your classmate from a former school. I know that it must be hard for you, especially with all the uncertainty.

I will be praying, especially for her, and a recovery, if it is God's will.

Remember that God uses all things for good. (See Romans 8:28)

Thanks, you two. I'm hanging on... It's a rough situation but somehow God will help me through it.

Gonna try to get my bravery up and call the scholarship program to see what I can do today. >_< It's hard because I'm a pretty shy person, so talking to strangers always makes me feel a bit uneasy. But, I've done it before. So I'll just have to do it again.

Thanks for the advice, Tsuki. And for the prayers, everybody... I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that my scholarship seems like it'll be okay. For now, they'll only check if I have classes after the end of the spring semester, so as long as I have two classes in by then I should be fine, and not in any danger of losing it.

The bad news... I officially saw the word from her sister on Facebook. She has passed on.

Remember, though, change of the heart only takes an instant... even if that instant ends up being our last one.

Thanks for all your prayers and condolences, everybody. They're much appreciated. The funeral will be tomorrow afternoon. If you could be praying for us around that time, I'd appreciate that too.
