Please pray for my church

Hi everyone,

I have a request to pray for the unity of my church.

In around 12 hours' time, our church will hold a members' meeting to decide on a serious matter regarding leadership in our church. Due to my lack of complete information I cannot give an in-depth description.

What I can tell you is that this matter has pitted many brothers and sisters against one another.

Underlying this matter are some other things in the past which has added to the tension felt between various individuals.

I feel that no matter what happens a substantial amount of brothers and sisters will be upset with the outcome, so please pray for reconciliation and unity. When things like these happen, nobody stands to win.

Please pray that as brothers and sisters, we would not only seek righteousness, but more importantly, seek to love, understand, forgive, and build each other up.

Thanks for your support.

Hi everyone, thanks for the prayers.

The meeting lasted over six hours, which is probably one of the longest members' meetings (if not the longest) we've ever had.

A lot of the time was spent laying out the background information of the matter for the members' knowledge.

Some issues have been resolved, but there are still some ends that have not been resolved properly. My main concern is that these unresolved aspects will fuel further tensions and divisions within our church, as well as possibly put some of our leaders in legal trouble.

I'm sorry I can't say more, please keep my church in your prayers when you can remember. Thank you.
