For Kody

J. Kody-ray Bowers, a friend of mine, is a Marine that retired due to a severe back injury during his time in Afghanistan.

He recently had an incident where, when his back acted up more than usual, he was sent to the hospital and they pumped him full of narcotics to knock out the pain. When he woke up, he was in prison - with a police officer claiming that Bowers attacked him.
That's a felony, by the way. But Kody doesn't remember a thing, and there are conflicting witnesses on the case. I am not sure whether he did it or not, but my primary concerns are for his faith and his health.
Please pray that he will trust God and cling to Him no matter what happens. And please pray that, if he does end up in prison, that God will take care of him and provide the medicines and treatments that he needs to keep from constant, agonizing pain.

I'm a Sailor - a Submariner that will likely never see the deserts in the middle east. I can't imagine the pain this guy goes through, the stress and fear of suddenly beig put in a confusing legal situation where he might lose everything; all after sustaining injury in a war that so few will recognize his service in.

Please pray for him - his peace of mind, his relationship with God, and his health.
Thank you,
Blake

Thank you all very much for your prayers.

Thus far, it's looking really bad for him right now. Kody's lawyer told him that the case was almost a lost cause - right after he paid the man $4000 (this particular attorney was very encouraging until he got paid...).
So now my friend is in a no-win situation; if he is able to avoid jail time, he'll still get parole, a felony charge on his record, and a loss of his job (he works in the pentagon).

Right now, I'm just praying that he accepts whatever happens as the will of God, and that he will get the right supposrt and medical attention.
Again, thank you very much - and praise God that He has been helping Kody get the meds he needs for his back!
