This may be "light weight" compared to some the recent requests, but please pray for my dog, Titus. Monday night (Tuesday morning) he was throwing up from 3:00am-6:00am. He threw up some blood as well. My wife and IU took him to the vet firs tthing Tuesday morning, and, after keeping him for observation all day, they realesed him, claiming he was OK. He couldn't eat anything all Tuesday, so he's pretty weak and tired. I just hope he is really OK cause, well...I love 'im!

Pictures to arouse your sympathies: (as to the reason for the socks...only my wife knows for sure)

I'll be praying. Do what you can to keep him hydrated in the meantime, if he won't eat.

Thanks Ayato kun.

Update from Mrs. Doc: Titus is doing alright! He is really tired, but, now that he is allowed to eat, he is eating (a bit).

I'll bet he is more like this today:

He's bootiful :)

Did you ask your vet what he thought the problem is?

Dogs sometimes eat something they're not supposed to... a bug or plant or something, and the only thing you can really do to help them is make sure that he stays hydrated and help him get through the "stomach bug". If it's really severe he may need to be flushed to get rid of the toxins, many vets here don't have that facility though but I'm not sure what your vets there are like.

I'm sure he's doing fine by now though, just try to look around the house if there are any possibly toxic plants... unfortunately I'm not sure what you'll be looking for as I'm not familiar with your plant and insect life in the States (if that's where you are). Also ask your vet to give you a rehydrate that you can administer yourself in case there's a next time...

Good luck :P

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. Titus is doing excellent today. He is eating and drinking, and he was even up for some tug-of-war (his most favorite game) early this afternoon!

Yeah, the vet believes that he just ate something that he was not supposed to. That silly, guy! He's very mouthy...when he gets really excited, he'll leave the room just to get something to put in his mouth. Then, mouth occupied, he re-enters the room and resumes his excited-ness.

In short: rest easy, all. Crisis over! :thumb: And thanks again!
