For my high school friend

Hi everyone, last Saturday I met up with a high school friend that I haven't seen since high school (around 13 years ago).

We had a great time catching up over lunch and just talking about the good times in the past, as well as what we've been up to in life since then. Somehow the topic of conversation got around to the deeper things in life, one of them being religious faith. I discovered that he and another mutual high school friend attended a local church a few times years ago whilst we were all in high school (I had just become a Christian during that year and didn't know anyone else that were seeking). He told me that in the end he quit going to that church because he felt no one wanted to help him fit in.

I could sense it was an experience which made him unhappy. Therefore I have a few prayer points:

- Thank God that we were able to catch up, and that he was not opposed to talking about faith related matters

- Please pray that we will be able to catch up on a more regular basis in the near future (it's kind of really my problem, since the weekends are usually spent at church, dinner at my parents', or dinner at my in-laws', as well as grocery shopping and housework - all of which are important and 'essential' things by the way)

- Please pray that there will be opportunities to talk to him more about faith, and the possibility of attending another church

Thanks so much for your support!

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for providing an opportunity for Sammy & his high school friend to meet & catch up with each other and that he was not opposed to talking about faith related matters.

We agree in prayer that they'll be able to catch up on a more regular basis in the near future. And please provide more opportunities to talk to him more about faith, and the possibility of attending another church

In your name Jesus we pray,
Amen.
