Life

You guys all know me, and know just how awesome I am. Unfortunately, even awesome people fall on bad times.

Right now, I am in a rut in many ways. Financially, emotionally, and a little bit healthwise. (Healthwise, mostly as a result of the other two, so it's not a huge issue.)

Right now I need direction. I'm regretting not taking some huge risks last year, as the safe road is turning out not to be anything I was told it would be. Instead of going across the country to go to school and going into huge debt (risk), I chose to remain where I am and make use of what I have available (safe). This has not worked out at all. I've managed to waste another year here, making no progress at all. The "safe" route has proverbially bitten me in the butt, and I am left wondering if I made a huge mistake.

Please pray that I receive some direction, or Godly council. I have no idea of what to do, or if I should even continue pursuing this dream at this point in time.

If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things."

I'm new here so I don't really know everyone too well, but I would say don't give up on anything that's a possibility. God has something for you no matter what it may look like right now. I know first hand how hard it can be to hear God's voice and know what direction He wants me to take, but He can take everything and work it out for your good. Where you are at this point in time can't be changed, but God can and will if you let Him take you to where He wants you to be. I will pray for His direction in your life and give you peace in the midst of it.
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success!
For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, - Proverbs 2:6-7

Everyone will live forever... the question is with Who?

These are difficult situations and I have no answers to give. I will pray for you, at least.

Ironically, it was a quote from Douglas Adams' Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy that reminded me of God most when I was sitting in your position... "I may not be where I intended to go, but I think I'm exactly where I need to be" Or something to that effect... Credit Arthur Dent.

I'll be praying for you. Just keep your mind open to God's plan. You may not hear his voice when you're seeking your plan, but just keep moving through. Do what you have to do each day while you're in the forrest. Don't concern yourself too much about the future, only planning as far out as you need to, until you get a better feel for what you need to do. You'd be surprised where you'll be lead in the meantime.
"I do not feel obliged to believe that that same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forego their use." - Galileo Galilei

Thank you all for taking time to pray. I really do appreciate it.

As the saying goes, when God closes a door, He always opens a window. This is proving to be true in my lie, as God seems to be cracking one open for me. There are still a few things that need to fall into place (a bit more cash, and college applications, to be specific) but things are definitely looking up.

That's always a difficult place to be in; praying for ya! Figuring out and following God's will can definitely be a challenge, but I'm glad that things are staring to look up for you!
