I haven't heard anything about needing to evacuate anywhere near me, but about a mile or so north they were evacuating people just over the foothills near the dam... I think it's not a huge risk for me (fire-wise, anyhow) because of the fact it's on the other side of the hills, and fire has a much harder time traveling DOWN than UP, but this fire has destroyed a lot of land already, and a number of people have evacuated on that side of the hill. My Brother is actually even closer than I am, and may be in one of the next groups evacuated.

Because I'm so close to it, I guess there's been ash raining down here, and there are a lot of warnings not to go outside.

They're also talking about a new fire in Rcho Palos Verdes too. LA's ablaze.

This actually sort of happens every time there's one major fire... it brings out crazies and they start more. It's actually how we've had the biggest fires... arson or CDF.

Wow...I'll be praying. And I agree with the arson idea, some people do it for some reason. I heard that's what fueled fires a year or two ago.

I will be praying as well. From what I saw on the news, the smoke is so bad, it is visable in space. I pray that the fires will stop.
