Stomach Issues

Heh, I'm not even sure if I should post something here about this, since there's so many other, more important problems out there, but...

For the past....3 or 4 months now, my stomach has been acting funnily.
I've just passed it off as maybe it's just long-lasting menstrual cycle cramps (which I have gotten in the past).
But now, it's getting progressively worse.

For example, I went school shopping today with my parents, and I almost collapsed onto the floor from major pain and nausea.
I had to use my mother's arm for balance so I could walk out of the store without falling down.

It used to only happen when I ate, around 30 minutes after, but now...it's a constant thing.
It's keeping me up at night, and I don't even have to eat for myself to get nauseated.
It's getting to where, if I don't consciously remind myself, I won't even eat because it hurts too much. It's getting to where certain drinks affect me also...

I am scheduled for two procedures, and I'll have sedation for them.
One is a endoscopy (camera tube inserted down the esophagus to search through the stomach), and the other is a HIDA scan, for my gallbladder.
I have had blood work and ultrasounds already, but they haven't shown anything up.

AND, come to find out today, my great-grandma, my grandma, my mom, my aunt, and my cousin have all had their gallbladders removed from infection, so....that's a VERY great possibility to what's wrong.

And the big thing is, my endoscopy is next week, and my HIDA scan is the week after, on the 12th. I start school back on the 18th.

So, please pray for my stomach, and because I am scared that I will have to have surgery, and I am afraid of the anesthesia...
=[

Sorry for the long request.....

*Hugs* Don't ever think your problems are small

You know you have my prayers :)

May I suggest something that may help with the cramps :)? Do you have any Asian stores in your area? There's an Aloe Vera drink that I want you to try :) It may bring you some relief ^ ^ I know, an aloe drink.. Sounds nasty huh? It's actually very very good :) There's also little chunks of aloe pieces.

I wish we still had some ;___;

Wow, it could be your gallbladder indeed. I hope the doctors can help you, because stomach problems can mean a lot of different things. @_@

I'll pray for you Hana-chan!

One is a endoscopy (camera tube inserted down the esophagus to search through the stomach)
Ooh I had one of these last week, um...coz I had a fish bone stuck in my throat...but anyway. At least for that procedure I can assure you that it's not that bad and at least you have a better reason to have one than I did. (I mean, seriously...a fish bone...go figure ) If there's anything that concerns you about it feel free to shoot me a PM to ask anything. :)

For the mean time, for a sore stomach I suggest getting yourself a hot water bottle. It's my remedy for any kind of stomach-ache.

I hope it all goes okay and they find whatever it is!

I'll pray as well, and noone should ever think about how important their problems are compared to other peoples. That's how judging comes along, and people judging people's problems compared to other people's is how people like me end up worrying about sharing things and hating themselves for sharing. So stop thinking your problem's aren't as important as other people's lol.

Dear Jesus,

We all agree in prayer for Hana for healing for her stomach. I also pray if there is a safer, nutritional alternative answers to help Hana that they be investigated and done before these procedures. In your name Jesus we pray,
Amen.

You're also in my prayers, I had similar stomach problems at a prior time and thought they were food poisoning but it turned out that I had a twisted bowel... Not fun, NG Tubes are the pits, but no surgery. Its not being unconscious or anesthesia that I worry about quite as much as pain, ninety percent of the time I wish they would have knocked me out when it happened. But yeah, its no fun to eat when your stomach isn't feeling right, but I did hear that the endoscopy is a painless procedure. I abhor pain... I hope you feel better soon and find a solution to the problem...

Well, I'm going for the endoscopy in the morning. =\

My mom said that she's 99.999% sure that it's my gallbladder, but that test is next week....so.....yeah.

I'm just kind of wary of the anesthesia. I've never had any before, so I don't know if I'll have any reactions to it.

And thanks, everyone. All the prayers are appreciated...

I pray healing on you by the authority of Jesus Christ that he has placed on all of His disciples (Matthew 10:1). May God clothe you with courage and love.

Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue ruler, "Don't be afraid; just believe." - Mark 5:36

Well, I'm through with the first phase of everything.
ENDOSCOPY: DONE!!!

But, yeah, the IV took a little moving around to get in, but it did. (My veins are tiny)

After I got everything done, the nurse had said that young females (under 20) generally start crying after they wake up, as an effect of coming off of the high from the anesthesia.
I was hiccuping and laughing at everyone and everything. o.o;;;
INCLUDING A MUFFIN!

But, I'm sore, and I slept for around.....7 or 8 hours just now.
It was....okay. The doc said that he saw some agitation in my stomach, but that was normal, and he sent a few biopsies for testing.

So, won't know until a little while later if something's wrong, but hey. At least no ulcers!!

That made me laugh, Hana-chan. You sound so cute.

Question; where you completely knocked out for the whole thing? Because I wasn't for mine and I was just wondering.

Anyway, still praying for you and I'm glad it went well.

Praying for you. Stomach problems are awful. I have Gastritis which is nowhere as bad as what you described, but it still sucks.
I pray that everything goes well, and that there are no reactions to the anesthesia, and that they find out what the problem is. Oh and that the cure isn't a harsh/difficult one. ^_^

Here's the diagnosis:
My digestive system isn't working properly (Or in unison), and apparently I also have Acid Reflux disease.
yaaaaay. T_T

But, all I have to do is take a bunch of pills, but if I forget, I get extreme pain.....
So pray that I can remember them. XD

Good to hear that's it's not terribly serious and there's something you can take for it, Hana. I'll continue to pray for you.

You bet. That's actually my first suspection when you said you used to have stomach ache after eating. Geez, does it really need to take all those tests and scans... must be an American thing. :p

Anyway, it is nice to hear it isn't anything major. Btw, it isn't a disease, just inappropriate body response. The best cure is to eat properly (i.e. at regular time of the day, more or less the same quantity, and a regular sleeping schedule), and don't sleep after eating a meal. Pills may works for some people, but they are usually just enzyme that inhibits acid secretion; which meant they tends to fix symptoms, but are useless if the "root" of the problem isn't solved.
