I was raped three times by my ex fiancee and then psychologically and emotionally raped by my boss/ friend etc.

so i want to start a website/forum called IWASRAPED.ORG for people that were raped and need healing, support etc. I also wanted to offer classes on self-defense techniques and also just talks on speaking out if you had been raped by a spouse, friend, foe etc.

Its something that the Lord really put on my heart this morning but I don't really know how to go about it and I'm going to need help to raise awareness about it and help people..what do you think? Could you help??

Please pray and if you have any ideas, help etc for maybe your area please PM me as I do not want this thread to get loaded up...otherwise prayer would be appreciated as I go forward in faith on this.

I'll be praying for you. I'm sorry I can't offer much suggestions, seeing I was not in a similar situation, but I do admire your goals . If God's laid this on your heart, by all means pursue it. *Hugs*

I'm just curious if people would be able to help out with creating the website and help with the blog and stuff...just an idea...I want to offer up a way for people to donate to local battered women shelters...i'm thinking i might expand this to physical, emotional and psychological abuse as well....

ok new thought:

teaching self defense at these abuse shelters...I have about ten years of experience and since I have been through some of what they have been through..I can still help

I think that's a great idea! Ladies need to know how to defend themselves.

The pastor at the Methodist Student Center on campus teaches self defense to the female students and there's also a course at the First Baptist church.

So it is definitely an important set of skills to learn. I know God will open doors for you and lead you to the place where He wants you to serve.

I'll be praying about this. Still, this is a good idea; if it's God's Will, may it come about and help many women who are suffering.
