Placement in Japan

As many of you probably know, this year I was supposed to be attending a Torchbearer's Capernwray Bible College in Yamanakako Japan. Unexpectedly, the director had a severe injury from falling out of a tree and I was informed that the college has been cancelled.
However, despite this my spirit isn't discouraged and I feel this great big nudge in the spirit to ask my contacts in Japan and the people I know about any placements or possible mission (Even mission training) in Japan. I have confidence in the Lord.
I am ready to go, and willing. I know it's where God is calling me, and we're at the point where God has closed one door. We all know, He closes one and opens another.
I would just like to pray and ask others that if they have any connections in Japan, or are aware of any help that is needed to let me know or pray for an opening.
I am willing to take on long term possibilities, as in a few months I will find out if I have been accepted into Okinawa University for a year long intensive Japanese language program( it's a university prep program, they take you to level 2 Japanese Language Proficiency Test). Also if it helps, my Japanese language is somewhere between or around Level 4 and 3 of the JLPT.

Ill pray for you.
And I don't know if this will help you but theres always the Summer Project thing. (
http://www.gosummerproject.com) I know they have one during the summer to Japan. I forget how long it is, and I'm not sure if the deadline passed or not.

my sister did ywam and I know there's lots of missional programs. However I didn't really want to do something so short term missionally speaking. Since I plan to be living there, I was thinking somethin a little more hands on.
hmm

Well I mean, I am going to be in Japan (God willingly) in october anyways, so any placement from now until then would be awesome. I don't want some 2 week project, anything under a month I don't think. I'm just more geared towards long term.
So far I my opportunities are as follows (and I'd love some spiritual imput

)
1. Join a mission trip which engages college students english for a month in Osaka
2. From there either work at a Christian building where many missionaries meet for meetings, doing things like cooking, cleaning etc.
OR
Take a job teaching conversational english and leading an english bible study
hmm.
Or going to Swaziland Africa and setting up a chicken coop!

As you do, I always hope to take part in a missionary in Japan once I graduate next fall. The Bible College in Japan sounds like it would be a really awesome thing for you to take part in. I'll definitely be praying for you as well.

not so spiritual input: I think you need more shots to go to Swaziland
All of the others look fine, especially since they might provide an opportunity to do other "fill in" work as you network with others in the mission field.

Yeah the Gosummerproject thing, though I'm sure you've already looked at it, has some projects for more than a month. And YWAM has projects that are more than a month, I think you could probably do a DTS or outreach for at least 3 months there. Not sure though. the YWAM site confuses me

I did a DTS and i absolutely LOVED it. But I'm in the same boat as you, Kat.
I have felt extremely pulled towards japan, and to staff a DTS there, in Osaka.
Right now, I'm trying to listen to when I'm supposed to go there. God wants me to staff for a year. XD and I have no idea what I'll be doing after that. ahahahah.
But i highly suggest a DTS. It was so much fun, and it was the best thing I have ever done. No doubt about it.
My DTS was 6 months long, which isn't AS short term. XP
