Things have been looking up quite a bit. My friend told me how I need to learn to fall in love with God. I am having trouble understanding what she meant, but I will say, I finally talked to God fr the first time in months a few days ago. It was hard, because sometimes I feel like He is ignoring me. ("Falling in love" is probably not the best description since love is a choice, not mERELy a feeling) It's sorta like a long-distance relationship... but not. God is always present. God speaks to us in various ways, through our experiences, through other people, and particularly through our conscience - that small, calm inclination within us telling us to do the right thing. Don't worry, God is with you. I'm praying that you begin to sense His presence and love and indeed begin to love Him.

Something that I am learning is that it's a building relationship. You aren't going to just have it "poof" like. That means building trust too. You may not "feel" in love with God for a long time.
I think though as someone stated, you can make a choice to show love though just like you would in real life. (An example is when you don't like a family member and still showing actions of love (even when you don't feel that). So in my opinion when it comes to God, I feel that by talking to Him (and being brutally honest with Him), reading about who He is, and obeying Him is showing Him love. For me, feelings aren't there yet most of the time.
Don't know if any of this makes sense. Will keep praying though.
