Big Decisions

Postby Sheenar » Mon Oct 19, 2009 8:41 pm

I took my GRE on Saturday and I think it went well. I will get the results in the mail in 2 weeks.
I am facing some really big decisions right now --I am trying to decide between two options for grad school: I can stay at my alma mater and get my Master's in Agriculture and my teaching certification so I can teach Ag. Or I can go to a university 3 hours away and go into the Speech-Language Pathology program (or possibly Audiology instead) and go into speech therapy.
I had thought that I was called to do some sort of therapy, but now I am not sure. I am praying for direction, but seem to be in a waiting period where I just have to wait and trust God --and do the next right thing in the meantime. Please pray for wisdom and for the right decision. I don't want to pack up and move 3 hours away if God is not in it.

Also, please pray for me in regard to friends and finding where I fit in in the Body. I graduated from college in May and I am in this really awkward in-between place. I no longer fit in with the college group at church (not that I fit in that much to begin with, but I had great friends in the group) and I don't quite fit in with the "Young Professionals" group either as I do not yet have a job/career. Many of my college friends seem to have moved on and right now I only have one friend who has really stuck by me (though a couple of other friends have recently stepped in and encouraged me, which was really awesome). I'm just not sure where I belong in the church right now.

Thanks you guys! And please feel free to message me and let me know how I can be praying for you as well. :D

For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Still waiting to hear back about my grad school applications. Just learned today that, with my GRE scores, there is a good chance that I may be able to get an assistanceship or teaching position at my university.
Please continue to pray for God's guidance.

*Hugs* Congratulations, Sheenar ^__^ I'll pray that all goes well for you as well :)

I'm sure you'll be able to pick the right path once they are confirmed ^^

As for the friends, I think you shouldn't try to "fit" in with either groups ^^ It sounded like you have good friends at your church regardless of which group they were in, so stick with them ^__^ Friends are friends regardless of what group they are in ^^
