Wisdom Teeth recovery

Postby Mave » Tue Jul 31, 2007 5:03 am

Let's just say I didn't expect it to hurt *this* much post-surgery. I've totally lost my appetite and I absolutely hate the taste of blood in my mouth. At least, pray that the bleeding stops as that bothers me the most.

I still have to work tomorrow and will always have a bunch of things to do, so recovery is of utmost importance. Pls pray as the pain and discomfort is quite unbearable (despite taking painkillers). Thank you in advance.

You are most welcomed to share your wisdom tooth stories here.

Four words: warm salt water rinse.

Sorry you have to work tomorrow. It took me several days to recover from my surgery. Will pray.

It looks like there are at least 3 other wisdom teeth threads in the prayer forum alone (albeit some from quite a while back).

I know how it goes, mave. Ouch!

Random side note: When I had my teeth pulled and ended up on vicadin for a week, I was introduced to and beat final fantasy 7. I really remember much of it, though. How odd.

I remember my wisdom teeth recovery...not fun. I'll keep you in my prayers as well.

And an interesting food to try is pureed ramen noodles...just be sure to let them cool before pureeing them or else your blender will explode XD

Dude, I just got my wisdom teeth out in June which was right around when I joined CAA. Yes, it will take about 2 weeks to get fully healed, but the pain should stop after a few days. Of course the irritation will be there alot longer. For me I didn't like those plastic strings they used to stitch up your surgery wounds.(I don't know what you call them.) Anyways eat alot of soft foods. At least it isn't as bad as braces, but still though you can't eat hard or solid food for a while. And when you do you'll be saying it was worth the wait. My advice is to eat cheese potatoes that you can easily make from the packs and also chocolate pudding is very good as well. They are both so good! And also get as much of sleep as you possibly can! Don't feel bad if you fall asleep alot earlier then you originally intended. I'll be praying for you so get better soon!

Do you still have gauze pads in your mouth? It'll take maybe 2 days from the time your teeth were removed for it to stop bleeding. I had my 3 (yes, only 3) wisdom teeth taken out almost 3 years ago. I survived on pudding, applesauce, and (when I could chew a bit more), warm ramen.

K. Ayato: Perfectly.
