sick bunny

Hullo everyone, long time-no see.

I wanted to ask you all to pray for my bunny, Fiona. She has recently developed lumps on her stomach as a result of a bacterial infection. The first lump was removed and she has been taking medicine (though she is not very happy about it).
However recently I discovered that she has been picking at her stiches and that two more small lumps have appeared. If it is not controlled this infection could be serious and I am terribly worried about me. She is my baby who gives me kisses and acts silly and spoiled when I need amusement at the end of a long work day. There is truly no other pet like her.

Please pray.

Praying that your bunny heals up nicely, Yuki. I know how hard it is to deal with a sick pet. Have faith, keep strong, and trust God's will in all things. As for picking the stitches, is it possible that your vet could custom fit a cone around her head to prevent this? They did that for a hamster I had, and also for my cat when we got her spayed. Another thing to try is "bitter apple spray." It's all natural, they sell it at most pet stores (I think it's called "Granny's bitter apple spray" or something like that), and it gives off a bitter taste that deters most all animals from chewing where they shouldn't. Worked good on my hamster and dog.

Aw, that's sad. I'll pray for both you and your cute little bunny.

Aw, I'll be praying for your bunny. I have a bunny too, and I can imagine how hard it would be to go through that.

Aww poor bunny... I hope she gets better! I know what it's like to have a pet as almost like your own baby (my kitty)...

So far, so good. We are almost through with the medicine, so I'll be taking her back to the vet soon.

It turns out that it is most likely not a bacterial infection. (yay!) Actually, the vet is thinking she is allergic to the stiches themselves. Crazy!
